    Maksymilian Cherkaattorney, PhD, partner

    He advises investment funds and investors on the complex development projects. For 15 years he has been specialising in the services for entities operating in the broadly defined construction projects sector.

    He works on issues related to the real estate law, spatial development, construction law, monuments preservation and environmental protection. He prepared implementation strategies for large-scale investment projects and ran teams of lawyers that executed them.

    He works as an adviser and representative of investors before the public administration authorities and administrative courts in cases when the structure is covered by the legal forms of monuments preservation and related to the establishment of land development conditions decision, granting conservator’s permits, building permits and decisions about the environmental conditions for the implementation of the project.

    Małgorzata Curattorney, partner

    For more than ten years she has been advising national and international entities from e.g. aviation, rail and energy sectors. She has been providing them with ongoing corporate service and advising them in the field of capital changes, ownership relations as well as investment and restructuring processes by proposing and later implementing solutions optimising legal structure of the companies. She specialises in company, rail transport and aviation law.

    He is a coordinator of our ECh&W Law Firm’s transaction team and specialises in mergers and aquisitions transactions (M&A), economic law and energy law.

    He has years of successful experience in legal counselling for business entities in the field of M&A transactions, execution of infrastructure projects as well as providing current legal services. He advised the largest private equity and venture capital funds as well as companies from banking and energy sector.

    He took part in numerous transactions and investment processes advising at each step of their execution by preparing transaction structures, preparing and supervasing the execution of due dilligence projects, preparing and negotiating transaction documents as well as supervising project’s execution.

    He provided legal services in private and public initial offering, especially in the field of bond issuance and Initial Public Offering (IPO).     Magdalena Czuba – Wąsowskaattorney, PhD, partner

    She is an expert in the legal counselling related to the law-making process, regulatory aspects of operation of public and private entities in the public utility sector and in the Polish and EU competition protection law in cases centred around practices limiting competition, abuse of a dominant position on the market, and consolidation of entrepreneurs as well as proceedings before the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection [PL: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów].

    For 12 years she has been specialising in legislation and administrative law and procedure, EU law, energy law and state aid law.

    Filip Elżanowskiattorney, PhD, managing partner

    He is an expert in the energy law, administrative law and procedure, public procurement law, investment processes, and especially in the procedure of issuing administrative decisions. Furthermore, he specialises in legal services for projects implemented in the rail and energy sectors, including as part of the public procurement and public-private partnership (PPP). For 6 years he has been specialising in sectoral regulations, including energy law and rail transport law as well as in the provision of legal services for entities operating in the electricity, heating, gas and liquid fuels sectors and for the rail sector enterprises.

    He has a professional experience in the field of energy and rail market regulation as well as in the legal representation before the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection [PL: Sąd Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów] and before the administrative courts. She advises on the reorganisation of procurement processes, including as part of the Shared Services Center [PL: Centrum Usług Wspólnych] functioning in capital groups.

    He represents Clients in several hundred proceedings before the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection [PL: Sąd Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów] in matters regarding the energy regulation, including setting tariffs, connecting to a distribution network, supporting the energy manufacturers in the renewable energy installations as well as financial penalties and licencing.

    She works on matters related to the energy law, renewable energy sources, high efficiency cogeneration, energy efficiency, capacity market and carbon emissions trading. She prepares legal opinions on the energy law and related matters, prepares and verifies agreements connected with the operation on the energy market. She verifies legislation regulating the energy market and prepares drafts of legislative solutions.
